Welcome to Crocheting Painfully!

A little about me!

I have a genetic connective tissue disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which significantly impacts my daily life. My joints frequently dislocate, and I experience constant pain in every joint. Despite these challenges, I have always been drawn to various crafts, with crochet being the one I consistently pursue, regardless of the pain it inflicts. What is the purpose of life without engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfillment?

Though the process of crafting each item provides a meaningful distraction from these physical challenges, please understand that the timeline for fulfilling orders may be slightly extended due to the constraints of my pain. However, rest assured that every item created is made with a deep sense of dedication and care. This commitment ensures that each piece is crafted with a blend of skill and heartfelt passion.

A few of my previous works!

Frequently asked questions

Can't find an answer? Don't hesitate to reach out!

What can i ask to be made?

Animals, dolls, pretend play toys, purses, tote bags, keychains, lanyards, blankets, and similar items!

Why custom?

The beauty of custom work is that it's all up to you! You can choose the colors and yarn, and we can discuss removing unwanted pattern elements or adding desired ones. Custom pieces transform ordinary items into unique, personalized creations that reflect your vision, even with simple color changes—making them uniquely yours!

What is your pricing?

I deviate from conventional crafting pricing methods to ensure affordability. My goal is for these creations to bring you joy, not empty your wallet!

Pricing is contingent upon several factors:

* Project size
* Yarn type
* Yarn consumption
* Shipping expenses
* Alteration complexity (excluding color variations; primarily addressing substantial pattern modifications)

Feel free to send me an email, and we can discuss a quote to determine if you'd like to proceed.

How long will my order take?

The process of finalizing all project details can be completed within a day, although it may require several days of discussion to ensure the project meets your exact preferences. In the event that the requested yarn color or type is unavailable, I may need to either restock or place a special order, depending on availability. Once these details have been addressed, I typically complete projects within one to two weeks.

**As I work alone and am physically disabled, it may take longer to complete orders than a typical business. I also have three young children, so life can get in the way sometimes. Please keep in mind that I may have multiple orders going at once. I wish I could get everything out to you faster, but as the name suggests, I crochet painfully. As stated in the 'about me' section, I struggle with constant pain throughout my body, so I kindly ask for your patience as I am doing my best to make your project in your vision while enduring intense pain.

What payment methods do you accept?

Zelle and Vemno!

I am currently exploring the addition of more payment methods in the near future.
